Terms & Policy


1. General

1.1. These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (“Terms”) govern your use of the “Virtual Rabbi” / “MyRabai” platform – including any website, mobile application, embedded widget or any other digital interface (collectively, the “Service” or the “App”).

1.2. By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, including the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1.3. The term “Operator”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to the entity operating the Service (association/company/other as specified in the “About” page). The term “you” or “User” refers to any person using the Service.

1.4. We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted within the Service and will be effective upon posting, unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.



2. Nature of the Service

2.1. The Service provides Users with access to a digital conversation (text, audio, video, avatar) with a “Virtual Rabbi” – a digital, AI-assisted character based on pre-approved content and personalization, offering spiritual, ethical and identity-focused guidance, as well as suggestions for further content, videos, and optional connections to human mentors or organizations.

2.2. The Service operates by combining:

  • A curated database of Q&A, spiritual and educational content approved in advance;
  • Third-party AI (artificial intelligence) models;
  • Personalization based on User profile, history, and usage data.

2.3. The Service may also appear as an embedded chat widget on third-party websites and applications.

2.4. The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, with no guarantees regarding availability, content, suitability, or outcomes.



3. No Professional Advice / No Emergency Service

3.1. The Service provides general spiritual, ethical, identity-related and educational content only. It does not provide:

  • Psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice;
  • Medical advice;
  • Legal advice;
  • Financial advice;
  • Any other professional advice.

3.2. Any message, answer, suggestion, referral or recommendation provided by or through the Service is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional or a competent human advisor (e.g., rabbi, therapist, doctor, lawyer, etc.).

3.3. The Service is not an emergency or crisis service.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, at risk of self-harm, harm to others, severe distress, or any other emergency – you must contact local emergency services in your country (emergency hotlines, medical services, law enforcement, crisis hotlines, etc.) immediately.

The Service does not undertake to respond in real time and must not be relied on in emergency situations.

3.4. Your use of any information or content provided via the Service is at your sole risk and responsibility. The Operator shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or harm, direct or indirect, arising from your reliance on, or failure to act upon, any content or communication from the Service.



4. Eligibility and Registration

4.1. The Service is generally intended for Users aged 16 and above (you may adjust to 18). If you are under the minimum age, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4.2. Some parts of the Service may require registration and creation of a User account, including providing details such as name, email address, phone number, preferred language, etc.

4.3. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
  • Keep your information up-to-date;
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.4. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account, even if not performed by you, unless you have notified us in a timely manner of any suspected unauthorized access.

4.5. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse registration, suspend an account, or restrict access to the Service, including in cases of suspected abuse, violation of these Terms, or illegal use.



5. Permitted and Prohibited Use

5.1. You agree to use the Service lawfully, responsibly, and reasonably, in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms.

5.2. Without limitation, you must not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, threatening, hateful, racist, or discriminatory purpose;
  • Upload, transmit, or share content that infringes on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights;
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or security mechanisms;
  • Perform reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempts to bypass any security or access control features;
  • Use the Service for training competing models or for large-scale data scraping/mining without our prior written consent;
  • Engage in spam, unsolicited communications, or harassment of other Users (where applicable).

5.3. We may monitor usage of the Service (automatically or by sampling) for security, abuse prevention, and improvement purposes. We do not undertake to monitor all content or activities at all times.



6. User Content and License

6.1. Any content you provide through the Service – including questions, descriptions, messages, audio, video (where supported), feedback and other material – is referred to as “User Content”.

6.2. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to submit the User Content;
  • Your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights;
  • You do not share information about third parties without lawful basis or consent, where required.

6.3. By using the Service, you grant the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, process, store, reproduce, modify, translate, analyze and create derivative works from your User Content for the following purposes:

  • Operating and improving the Service;
  • Personalizing responses and user journeys;
  • Developing new features and internal research;
  • Security, logging, compliance and legal purposes.

6.4. Where reasonably possible, we will use User Content for research and improvement in aggregated and/or anonymized form, in line with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.



7. Intellectual Property

7.1. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including its name, logos, trademarks, design, code, databases, video/avatar content, texts, scripts, user interface and experience (UI/UX), and all related elements, are owned by the Operator and/or its licensors.

7.2. You may not copy, modify, distribute, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service, except as expressly permitted by us in writing.

7.3. The Service may be embedded as a widget or integrated into third-party platforms under separate agreements with such parties.



8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR RELIABILITY.

8.2. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be available at all times, uninterrupted or error-free;
  • Every question will receive a response;
  • All content will be accurate, complete, up-to-date or suitable for your particular situation;
  • Any conversation with the Virtual Rabbi will lead to any specific spiritual, emotional, or life outcome.

8.3. The Service relies on third-party providers, including:

  • AI model providers;
  • Cloud hosting services;
  • Video, audio, and text services;
  • Analytics, messaging, and other tools.

We do not control such third parties and shall not be liable for their acts, omissions, or failures.

8.4. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

8.5. IN ANY EVENT, AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE OPERATOR FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU (IF ANY) FOR USE OF THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR ZERO, IF NO PAYMENT WAS MADE).



9. Privacy Policy

9.1. General

9.1.1. We respect your privacy and handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including, where relevant, Israeli Privacy Law and international standards (such as the GDPR), as applicable.

9.1.2. This section describes, in general terms, what data we collect, how we use it, with whom we may share it, and what rights you may have.

9.2. Data We Collect

9.2.1. Data you provide directly, such as:

  • Registration details (name, email, phone, preferred language, etc.);
  • Content of your conversations with the Service (questions, messages, text, audio, video);
  • Feedback, support requests, and contact details.

9.2.2. Data collected automatically, such as:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system;
  • Approximate location (city/country);
  • Session times, pages viewed, length of interactions;
  • Technical identifiers for security and analytics.

9.2.3. Data from third parties, where applicable, such as:

  • Payment processors (if any);
  • Video / avatar / TTS providers;
  • Analytics and advertising partners.

9.3. Purposes of Processing

We may use data for:

  • Providing and operating the Service;
  • Personalizing content, responses and user journeys;
  • Improving and developing the Service and its features;
  • Ensuring security, detecting and preventing fraud or abuse;
  • Complying with legal obligations;
  • Sending updates, reminders or content, where permitted by law and subject to your consent (where required).

9.4. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

  • Technical service providers (hosting, AI, video, messaging, analytics);
  • Professional advisors (legal, financial, security, etc.);
  • Regulatory and law enforcement authorities where required by law;
  • Partner organizations (e.g., outreach organizations), only with your explicit consent when it involves personal contact details.

Where feasible, we will seek to share data in aggregated or minimized form.

9.5. International Transfers

9.5.1. The Service may be hosted on servers outside your country, and data may be processed internationally (e.g., EU, US, other locations).

9.5.2. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be transferred outside your jurisdiction, subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable law (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where required).

9.6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage etc.) to:

  • Enable the basic functionality of the Service;
  • Remember your preferences;
  • Analyze usage and improve user experience.

You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but parts of the Service may not function properly.

9.7. Data Security and Retention

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

We retain personal data as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Thereafter, data may be deleted, anonymized or archived.

9.8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of data in certain circumstances;
  • Request restriction of processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10. Changes and Termination

10.1. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice.

10.2. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law or regulatory authorities.

10.3. You shall have no claim against us in respect of any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service, subject to a refund of any fees paid in advance for unused periods, where applicable.



11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

11.1. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2. The courts of Jerusalem/Tel Aviv, Israel (choose your preferred venue) shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and you hereby consent to their jurisdiction.
